Nicola was a popular girl and had lots of friends throughout her life. Many of them helped in the early search for her when she first disappeared. It has affected them deeply and some still stay in touch with the family.

Nicky's school friends held a tenth anniversary school leaving party. Adele, Andrea, Vickie, and others organised a fund raising event and they raised £1400 which was added to the reward fund.
